DIRECTIONS BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
From Heathrow
- BUS AND UNDERGROUND
There is a number 140 bus from Heathrow to Harrow-on-the-Hill Bus Station. The bus station is next door to the Harrow-on-the-Hill underground Station and West Harrow is one stop from there.
- UNDERGROUND
Take a Piccadilly Line train from Heathrow and change at ACTON TOWN for another Piccadilly Line train going northbound. Change again at RAYNERS LANE for a Metropolitan Line train going towards BAKER STREET/ALDGATE. WEST HARROW is one stop from Rayners Lane.
From Gatwick
There are two ways from Gatwick:
- The most straightforward route with least changes is a ThamesLink train from Gatwick Airport to FARRINGDON which interconnects with the tube system. Your destination is WEST HARROW. From Farringdon, take the Metropolitan Line tube train going to UXBRIDGE. However, if no Uxbridge trains are showing on the indicator board, take the first Metropolitan Line train and change at FINCHLEY ROAD (some trains start further up the line) but be sure you ultimately take a train going to Uxbridge because the line diverges further on.
- Gatwick Express train to Victoria. From Victoria, take a Victoria Line tube train northbound to GREEN PARK (one stop). At Green Park change for the Jubilee Line northbound and change at FINCHLEY ROAD. From Finchley Road take a Metropolitan Line train to WEST HARROW. Be sure you take a train going to UXBRIDGE because the line diverges further up the track.
From Stansted
- COACH (BUS) AND UNDERGROUND
There are various companies running services into London from Stansted Airport. You can find details at www.easybus.co.uk and www.nationalexpress.com. Most of the coaches stop at Baker Street Underground Station, and this is preferable to going right into Victoria.
Your destination is WEST HARROW. From Baker Street, take the Metropolitan Line tube train going to UXBRIDGE but be sure you take a train going to Uxbridge because the line diverges further on.
- TRAIN TO LIVERPOOL STREET STATION
Take the Stansted Express train to London Liverpool Street station where you will be able to connect with the underground system. Your destination is WEST HARROW on the Metropolitan Line. Be sure you take a train going to UXBRIDGE because the line diverges after Harrow-on-the-Hill. However, if no Uxbridge trains are showing on the indicator board, take the first Metropolitan Line train and change at FINCHLEY ROAD (some trains start further up the line).
From Luton
- COACH (BUS) AND UNDERGROUND
From Luton Airport Bus Station (outside terminal). On-line bookings and further information at www.greenline.co.uk. Departs from Luton Airport bus station on service GL 757 to Finchley Road Tube Station. From Finchley Road tube station take a Metropolitan line train to WEST HARROW. Be sure you take a train going to UXBRIDGE because the line diverges after Harrow-on-the-Hill.
- TRAIN TO KINGS CROSS STATION
Take the train to London Kings Cross station where you will be able to connect with the underground system.
